We hope to offer new “Farm-to-Restaurant” CSA shares at Jockey Hollow in Morristown and Arturo’s Osteria in Maplewood this season.  More info will be available when we have ironed out details

Happy holidays from Ralston Farm! 
Hope you’ve been enjoying our wintry weather – We are now offering the Home Cookin’ for the Holidays Share!

We still have lots of nice roots in the ground and even some nice greens (as long as some of this snow melts and we can harvest them!)

The “Home for the Holidays Share” will be our last produce offering for the 2013 season –

Please reserve your share as soon as possible – we look forward to hearing from you!

Please expect a bulk selection (10 lbs total) of roots – including carrots, beets, rutabaga, celeriac, leeks and (hopefully!) kale, spinach, chard or mustard greens –
If we are able to harvest enough greens for 1 lb for everyone, the share will be $35 – it all depends on the weather!

If not, the share will be $30 and any available greens will be for sale in addition to the share at pick up.

Pick-up will be inside the farm greenhouse on:

Friday, December 20 or Saturday, December 21st

Between 12 PM – 6 PM

Please reply to this email by Tuesday December 17 to let me know which day you plan on picking up your share –

Payment will be made at pick up – we accept cash or checks to Ralston Farm, LLC
 
Bacon and sausage will be for sale at pick up – Limited quantities available – all pork is $10/lb

Eggs will also be available in limited quantities (many of the ladies are taking a little winter vacation from laying right now)

We will also have some great little holiday gifts for sale, including:
Candied Ginger Tins
Lemon Verbena Tea
Dried Hot Peppers and Chili Flakes

 

Ralston Nurseries will also have U- Cut Christmas Trees for Sale this weekend and next weekend.  Cut a tree in our summer chicken pasture and help clear the field for more vegetables!
