Despite the heat wave, we’ve got some nice Maria Lankowitz lettuce, a heritage butter-head type from an area near Kolfach, Austria.  This variety was brought to Ralston Farm from Johanna Mihevc when she visited in April.  Johanna is a passionate food activist working with Slow Food Tirol and educating youth about good food in Austria.

Lastly, the okra is flowering!  This is a red variety that I exchanged for with a farmer from Alabama.  These should be in the CSA share in a few weeks!
