Thankfully, my tractor gets to sit high and dry in Doug’s northern greenhouse for the winter.  This is especially useful on wonderful freezing rain days like today!  This baby still needs to be run every once in a while, so I like to get up there for a few minutes and rev the engine.  Running smooth!

We’re still hard at work in the southern greenhouse, using a pick axe to loosen up soil for our summer hot crop beds.  Once they’re tilled up, we’ll add composted manure and let the soil structure rebuild for the springtime.  Yesterday, my friends Griffin Gannon and Sam Stromeyer came by to help.  Today, despite the weather, Sam is determined to get back to the pick axe – a “nature workout” better than anything at-home and on TV.
